International Scholarship
UMass Lowell will award any UPP student with a 3.0 GPA a scholarship amounting to $ 12,000 ($ 3,000 a year for four years) when successfully matriculating into their second year. The award is granted at the end of each year based on the student attaining the required 3.0 average GPA. Terms and conditions:

- Student must successfully complete the UPP program and matriculate into UMass Lowell with a 3.0 GPA;
- Student’s residency classification for tuition determination is International. In-State (Massachusetts residents), New England Regional, Out of State and Proximity students are not eligible for this scholarship. The student will not be eligible to receive this scholarship if their residency status changes for any reason;
- The scholarship provides an annual award of $ 3,000;
- Continuation of this scholarship award during their undergraduate career is dependent on maintaining full-time status (i.e., earn a minimum of 12 credits per semester) and a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 at the end of each academic year. This scholarship is renewable annually and awarded for a maximum of eight consecutive undergraduate semesters;
- This scholarship award will be applied to their undergraduate day academic-year (i.e., consecutive fall & spring semesters) tuition and fees;
- This scholarship does not cover Consortium or Online and Continuing Education courses. If the student participate in a Professional Co-op experience through the Office of Career Services and that co-op experience extends the duration of their academic program, the scholarship may be extended. The student must contact the Financial Aid Office before their Professional Co-op experience begins. This process also applies should the student participate in a UMass Lowell-approved study abroad program.
